What a day 101.1 WJRR gave us at the Earthday Birthday this year at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.
Once again, Orlando’s Rock Station delivered one of its most iconic festivals — and 2026 came back stronger, louder, and leaving everyone wondering what’s next for 2027.
A Full Day of Sun, Rock, and Energy ☀️😎
From the moment gates opened around 11 AM, the festival kicked off with that classic Florida energy — bright sun, loud guitars, and a stacked lineup of bands that kept the momentum going all the way until sunset, when the night closed with explosive rock performances.
This year’s lineup featured a mix of rising acts and heavy hitters, including:
Twin Rova
James and The Cold Gun
kurt Deimer
Nervertel
The Pretty Wild
Desrocs
Return to Dust
The Funeral Portrait
Jakobs Castle
Sleep Theory
Mammoth
I Prevail
Three Days Grace
More Than Just Music🎶
One of the best parts of Earthday Birthday is that it’s not just about the stages.
Fans enjoyed meet & greets, merch booths, food vendors, drinks, sponsors, games, and attractions spread across the festival grounds. The WJRR DJs and VJs kept the crowd engaged between sets, introducing bands and interacting with fans throughout the day.
With stages set on opposite sides, it gave everyone time to walk around, explore, grab food or merch, and still catch the next band without missing the vibe.

Crowd Energy & Standout Moments ⚡️🕺🏼
By mid-afternoon, things really started heating up.
Around 4 PM, The Funeral Portrait had the pit fully active — crowd surfing, nonstop movement, and that raw festival chaos fans came for.
Then fans rushed over to catch Jakobs Castle, where Jakob Nowell brought a different kind of energy. Many in the crowd were excited to see the son of Sublime’s legacy stepping into his own spotlight, and the reaction was overwhelmingly positive.
As the night got closer, anticipation built for the headliners.
I Prevail delivered pure adrenaline — fans opened up the pit and went straight into a full wall of death, one of the most intense moments of the day.
To close it all out, Three Days Grace took the stage, bringing the entire crowd together for a powerful ending. The band used this moment as part of their tour run, and Orlando gave them a proper send-off.
What Fans Are Saying 🗯️👩🏻🧑🏽🦱
Across social media and fan conversations, the feedback has been strong:
Fans loved the balance between established bands and newer acts
Many highlighted the high energy of the crowd and nonstop pit action
Others appreciated the intimate feel compared to larger festivals, making it easier to move around and enjoy every part of the event
A lot of people called it one of the best local rock festivals in Florida
The overall vibe? Loud, fun, and very Orlando.

Final Thoughts🤔💭
Even though the festival keeps that intimate, local feel, the crowd showed up strong — not just from Orlando, but from surrounding cities and beyond.
The Central Florida Fairgrounds was shaking all day, packed with fans who came ready to enjoy every second.
Earthday Birthday 2026 proved once again that Florida’s rock scene is alive and loud, and now the only question is:
What are they going to bring for 2027?🎸🤘🏼
